The Proposition

Mary Margaret Marino is embarking on a biggest loser challenge of her own.  We are inviting you all to follow and comment on that challenge.  As a contestant in her own biggest loser challenge Mary has committed to following a 16 week program of exercise and the WeightWatcher's PointsPlus food plan tailored to her personal plan.  And she is committed to having her friends and family follow her progress on this blog.  So she welcomes your comments, support, and you can be her Jillian Michaels at times too. (For those who do not watch Biggest Loser, Jillian is the tough love trainer.)

The goal is a loss of 2 pounds per week and an average of 2 pounds per week over the sixteen week period.  Every week that the 2 pound goal is met $200 goes into a fund, any week with less than a 1 pound loss $50 comes out.  At the end of the sixteen weeks, if Mary's average weight loss for the 16 weeks is at least 2 pounds, the fund (hopefully $3,200) goes to Mary for a trip for two to Hawaii.  If the average weight loss for the 16 weeks is not at least 2 pounds, the fund just vanishes!!



The official start of "The Challenge" will be Mary's birthday, June 13th.  Weigh ins will be on Tuesday's.  We will be posting for sure on Tuesday's to report the week's progress, but there will be posts during the week too and your comments are welcome anytime.  So watch for the "season opener" on Thursday, June 13th.
